Environment
Our beautiful Care Home set in its spectacular gardens will enhance your quality of life and be a pleasant place to live. You will be able to move around easily in the house and its grounds. You can bring personal belongings with you, including items of furniture. We have an airy, spacious dining room looking onto our patio area where you will be able to choose from a varied menu. All food is freshly prepared by our in house chef who can meet any special dietary requirements. Socialise with other like-minded residents or you may like to be served in your room. We aim to accommodate all tastes.
Residential Care
At Abbotsford House Care Home we offer 24 hour care in a homely environment. Our staff have the necessary skills and training to provide you with the best possible service. We aim to always have 100% of our carers trained to at least SVQ 2 level. Staff will respect your rights to promote choices and tailor a package of care to meet your needs.
Staff will develop with you a personal plan that details your needs and preferences and sets out how they will be met, in a way that you find acceptable. Your care and support needs with be reviewed every four weeks at a Care and Support Meeting whereby you and your representative will be invited to join our Care Team to discuss your care needs. You will be encouraged to express your views on any aspects of the care home at any time. Our Manager has an 'Open Door' policy and will be available to residents and families during and outwith office hours.

Nursing
At Abbotsford House we provide twenty-four hour nursing care for our Service Users. Our experienced friendly Nursing Team allow us to care for those Service Users that require nursing care.
Moreover, our experienced team of nurses and care staff are proficient in looking after those who are terminally ill. We aim to have all our carers trained in Palliative Care. Our staff are very dedicated to supporting Service Users and their families at this time.
Our Nursing Team is headed by our Care Home Manager who has a vast experience with different client groups and is a great support to Service Users, families and Staff within Abbotsford House. The Care Home Manager is supported by the Directors and a team of professional qualified nurses.
